Our client is an established and hugely successful, privately-owned engineering consultancy based in an accessible location on Auckland’s lower North shore. They offer high-quality, tailored solutions across geotechnical, environmental, geological, and civil engineering to a range of public and private-sector clients. The business operates on a relatively flat structure under an established and highly regarded leadership team.
With a view to the future and with longer-term succession planning in mind, an opportunity is available for an ambitious and technically capable senior or principle geotechnical engineer to join the team. The role will be wide ranging and you will take responsibility for a portfolio of projects, providing technical input and direction to others. As a senior member of the team a key part of this role will be on the external development of client relationships. You will also play a key role in the strategic support and professional development of those around you.
To be considered for this key role, you will ideally hold a Washington Accord Bachelor of Engineering degree and will likely have at least 10-15 years of geotechnical experience gained predominantly within the New Zealand market. There is some flexibility around the level of this role, depending on experience. You’ll be CPEng accredited with Engineering NZ and will have operated at a relatively senior level, managing complex geotechnical projects. In addition to your broad technical capability you will be a natural networker and have the ability to build productive and influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
