We are working with a consultancy based in London as they seek an Assistant Planner or Planner to join their growing planning team in the South West of the city.
The Assistant Planner/Planner will be an integral in the delivery of projects that span London and the wider South East on behalf of a reputable client base. As part of a small Planning team your role will be hands-on with you afforded the opportunity to become heavily involved in:
- Undertaking site research and providing details on relevant planning history
- Preparing, submitting and monitoring planning applications for residential, commercial and industrial developments across the region
- Assisting in planning appeals
- Drafting site appraisals for clients
- Engaging regularly with clients, local authorities and working collaboratively with the in-house architectural team
It’s an exciting time for our client as their workload and Planning team continues to grow, therefore, this opportunity is suited to those with a minimum of 12 months experience up to Senior Planner. Your responsibilities will be amended dependent on your experience.
You will be joining a growing business and the Planning team requires an individual capable of demonstrating a minimum of 12 months experience of town planning within either the public or private sectors. Ideally, you will be working towards gaining your chartered RTPI membership or have already attained this. Strong communication skills are required within this small Planning team as you will be afforded the opportunity to hold a key role in the delivery of projects and shall engage regularly with clients and Planning Officers throughout the planning process.
