Mandarin speaking lawyer | mid-senior with ref. · Cobalt NZ

The firm has a close-knit team, led by an approachable partner with a few solicitors/law clerks and support staff members as part of the team too. Due a lawyer headed overseas, they have a need for a mid-senior level lawyer for the team. This role involves varied general practice work with a commercial property focus. Relevant experience includes residential and commercial property transactions, commercial leasing property financing/refinancing, subdivisions unit title development work, small-medium sized business sale and purchases, franchise agreements, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and related work.

The firm primarily caters to Chinese clients so someone with Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking abilities is key to build relationships well. You’ll have the chance to learn from a partner who has a background with a pre-eminent city firm, although this role will require someone that can also work with a good degree of autonomy and help mentor a junior.
