Town Planner (Client-side)

Up to £34k basic salary + excellent benefits package

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a international media company home to some of the UK’s most exciting media channels. They have an extensive portfolio of advertising platforms including airports, billboards and premium digital screens throughout the UK. This is a unique client-side opportunity to join an internationally recognised brand involved in high profile media coverage throughout the UK, offering a range of flexible lifestyle benefits.

You will be integral in the delivery of planning consents for the companies advertising displays and to mitigate loss of sites due to planning issues.

Main Responsibilities:

· Site feasibility studies and advising on scheme designs

· Planning Applications including; instructing architects to produce planning drawings

· Planning Statements and pre-application advise when necessary

· Liaising with LPA’s prior to determination and negotiating amendments

· Planning Appeals

· Reporting on planning related matters internally with other divisions in the business when necessary

You will require a comprehensive knowledge of the legislative framework of Planning in the UK (predominantly England) and be competent in the submission of Planning Applications and the Appeals process. Working knowledge of local authorities and urban design assessment criteria is also essential. My client is looking for a Town Planner with excellent report writing skills and a good knowledge of MS excel for this role. Experience in working within advertisement control is desirable but not essential.
