About the Company

A medium sized multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy is looking for a Junior to Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their team of experienced professionals.

Due to the size of the company and the diverse range of projects undertaken this company is a great place to learn and develop, from conception through to construction. My client will also offer support towards chartership, and they will even contribute to additional qualifications if they are in line with your role!

Currently my client is working on some exciting projects across the Commercial, Residential, Healthcare and Education sectors, allowing you the opportunity to work on a number of high profile projects.

About the Role

  • You will be mentored by the structural team and receive a good variety of work suitable for working towards you application for CPEng
  • Undertake detailed engineering design
  • Prepare structural calculations and drawings
  • Undertaking detailed technical design & documentation for multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Work closely with Technical staff to ensure projects are delivered to deadlines and within budget
  • Professionally liaising with clients, drafters, builders, and architects

To be Successful

  • A minimum of 1-2 years post graduate experience
  • Academically strong in structural engineering with a minimum qualification of BE
  • A good understanding of seismic principles is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal & written
  • A social personality who is able to work cohesively and comfortably with others
  • New Zealand experience is preferred with a strong knowledge in NZ building codes
