Construction Director, Boutique Developer

Reporting to the Managing Director

Cobalt recruitment has the pleasure of working exclusively with a prime real estate, boutique development company based in London. Established in 2014, this design led developer is skilled at unlocking challenging and complex sites across a portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use property. With a portfolio growth to over £150 million GDV and further acquisitions on the horizon, our client now have the requirement to expand their London team through the appointment of a Construction Director to take responsibility of all construction activity through the supply chain.

With projects being overseen through a construction management method, the construction manager will need to have experience working in either a main contractor or similar client-side environment. You will be responsible for ensuring construction of a quality product within agreed budgets and timescales overseeing development from inception to completion. You will work with relevant stakeholders and third parties to prepare a development brief and procurement route, develop programme of works and CPA, appoint and liaise with design teams, consultancies and sub-contractors and negotiate terms of agreement.

Requirements:

Professional Qualifications – MCIOB (preferable)
Degree in Construction Management or HND in Building
Demonstrable experience in Construction Management within residential development
Preferable experience within high-end residential £10+ million build programmes
Practical direct delivery site experience, procurement and management of sub-contractors and build process logistics delivering projects to time, budget and quality
Experience working within the main contractor or developer environment
Managerial experience with excellent influencing and reporting skills
Familiarity with construction management software packages

Remuneration:

Base Salary: £100,000 to £130,000

Benefits: Pension + Healthcare

Bonus: 30%
