Cobalt are searching for a Finance manager to join one of the world’s leading commercial real estate and investment companies. This large multinational needs a strong qualified accountant to sit within an active and well-established finance team.

The role focuses on supporting the financial operations and reporting of the business itself. As well as liaising with investors, external auditors and internal accounting teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with month and quarter end close reporting to EMEA/Global teams as required
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts for several UK legal entities
  • Liaison with investors as EMEA tax lead, internal group accounting departments and outsourced compliance provider
  • Balance sheet reconciliations for several accounts.
  • Preparation of data packs for quarterly UK VAT returns, reviewing draft returns prepared by outsourced provider.
  • Corporation tax – Provision of information to outsourced provider for annual returns and liaison through process, preparation of financial statements tax provisioning.
  • Assistance with month and quarter end close reporting to EMEA/Global teams as required
  • Other tax coordination and liaison including any ad hoc requests from HMRC

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills
  • Experience in real estate, property, or investment management industries
  • Comfortable building relationships across the business, at all levels of seniority, within and outside of the finance function
  • Good understanding of UK tax environment
