Head of Estates and Facilities
A respected and valued London based Charity is seeking a Head of Estates to manage all aspects of the organisations estates and facilities, ensuring that its buildings and equipment comply with Health and Safety legislation’s.

Remuneration
£40,000 – £50,000 + Benefits

Job Role
Your role will be to over see all routine planned and emergency maintenance and to project manage all new build and refurbishment projects.
- Responsible for managing the facilities team and undertaking or overseeing the implementation of recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management.
- To project manage all new building and refurbishment projects.
- Contribute to the setting of facilities budgets, ensuring the budget is kept within agreed levels whilst also seeking savings where appropriate.
- To maintain a safe working environment and ensure fire policies and procedures are up to date.
- To monitor and support the safe supply of gas, electricity, heating and water.
- To manage the housekeeping team and ensure the estate meets the highest hygiene standards.
- You will be responsible for ensuring servicing, MOTs and repairs are in place for the organisations vehicles.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience of estates or facilities management within a hospital/ health-care environment.
- Extensive knowledge of compliance and health & safety legislation’s.
- Experienced in building maintenance and project management of new build and refurbishments.
- Experience of managing external contractors.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
