Health and Safety Advisor
Midlands
£35,000 plus car allowance.
Cobalt Recruitment are currently working with a well-established and rapidly developing managing agent as they look to hire a diligent Health and Safety professional to join their well organised facilities management team. Ideally you will have previous experience managing a commercial or residential property portfolio and good working knowledge and understanding of relevant statutory legislation, ACoPs and British Standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with facilities managers and senior management, promoting compliance and sustainability throughout your portfolio;
- Providing regular DSE assessments as well as holding training sessions for colleagues and new starters
- Regular site visits to assess compliance and monitor the working processes of on site contractors/sub-contractors;
- Undertaking audits and writing fire risk assessments when necessary.
- Monitoring compliance for all third party suppliers to the business.
An understanding of working within real estate is essential and a NEBOSH general certificate as well as a NEBOSH fire risk management qualification is necessary. Crucially you will be a thorough, pragmatic and motivated individual with a real sense of enthusiasm for your work.
