My client is looking for a HR Advisor to come in a cover a fixed term maternity cover for 14 months. You will be responsible for contributing to the efficient operation and performance of the HR department, covering all aspects of HR including recruitment, employee relations, employee engagement, payroll and learning and development.
Ideally you will be immediately available, but you may be considered if you can be available within a month.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Be the first point of contact for all visitors to the HR Office, assisting and dealing with general enquiries
- Working with managers to support and guide them through any HR issues in accordance with HR policies and Procedures, best practice and employment legislation
- Disciplinary and grievance case management
- Assisting and support any redundant employees
- Producing letters and employment documents such as contracts o employment, reference letters and job change letters
- Contributing to the development of HR policies and procedures
- Preparing new starter paperwork, processing and setting up employee files upon commencement, ensuring all documentation is returned and complete, and in full compliance with all company and legislative requirements and procedures
- Maintaining holiday and sickness records
- Maintaining an accurate HR database, with an accurate record of starters, leavers and changes/promotions
- Managing both weekly and monthly payrolls with efficiency and accuracy including input, additions, checks and queries
- Coordinating the recruitment of all permanent employees and casual workers
Key requirements:
- Experience in a similar HR role
- Experience of working in leisure/ event /hospitality/retail industry ideal
- Preferably holding or working towards HR/CIPD qualification
- Excellent administration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
