My client is looking for an intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their already well established team based on the city fringe. You will have the support of the Commercial Manager but also a QS Manager who are ready and willing to support your growth and development. This team are a sociable crew with a variety of personalities in the office from with both extroverted and introverted management.

You will have exposure to projects in light commercial, generally new builds, which can vary from childcare centres to apartments and offices.

The Role and You:

The position has a wide range of responsibilities and the successful applicant will need to be very competent with measurement, tendering, sub-contractor review, contract administration, estimation and negotiation.

Additionally you will have excellent communication, high level of computer skills, highly organised with excellent attention to detail, diligent and pro-active; and have the ability to work positively and collaboratively in a team.

You will need a tertiary qualification, NZ experience and a valid NZ visa to be considered for this role. Ideally you will have experience working in a main contractors and on commercial projects.
