A high profile Managing Director has recently been hired with the task of increasing the portfolio through acquisition, active asset management and development work with a focus on Central London and within a 2 hour commuting distance. Their current assets include a mix of commercial office, retail, and residential and mixed-use properties.

Due to continued expansion plans, a high achieving, motivated, dynamic self starting Analyst is required to join the team, working very closely with the MD to source, underwrite, structure and appraise suitable acquisitions, as well as model the existing portfolio and asset management initiatives.

The below list is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities, and it is expected to evolve over time depending on the successful candidates skills, experience and aptitude.

Analysis – (across all sectors and geographical locations)

  • Collating due diligence on prospective acquisitions
  • Obtaining investment and occupational market data for all sectors and maintain a database of information
  • Undertaking detailed market analysis to identify target towns and sectors for acquisition
  • Producing monthly reports to the Property Director & Executive committee – Costar, Barber, Meltwater etc.
  • Ensuring regular updates and reports are obtained from large commercial surveying practices
  • Speaking to local occupational agents to obtain accurate and current market information
  • Providing monthly market reports
  • Maintaining a graph showing prime, secondary and tertiary yields across all sectors and varying locations (West End, City, Greater London, M25 town, regional town) over time
  • Liaising with the finance team to provide accurate financial analysis of property and portfolio returns and performance by way of KPIs
  • Producing and updating the portfolio analysis monthly (and on new acquisitions) to ensure continual, accurate and new information on average weighting by location, sector, lease length, covenant strength, floor area, value
  • Producing and maintaining the portfolio asset reviews and summary
  • Producing Acquisition, Construction and Viability documents for Board approval
  • Maintain a database of current and recent project costs
  • Collating and ensuring consistent format and complete information for monthly Capital Committee meetings, Board meetings and Exec Meetings.
