An opportunity has arisen for an experienced (4+ year PQE litigator) to join a well regarded Auckland CBD practice in a general litigation role with a commercial litigation focus. You’ll be receiving work from 2 experienced partners in the areas of insolvency, insurance, construction, property and contract litigation amongst other areas. This role will see you work with a good degree of autonomy and also get decent court work.

You will be someone that is confident, resilient and proactive. Having sound drafting, research and advocacy skills is key. The fixed term contract period has some scope to be negotiated but is likely to be 6-8 months.

This position may ideally suit a NZ qualified lawyer that has recently returned to Auckland from overseas or is looking to relocate from another part of NZ – this could be a good move while you figure out where you’d like to take your career longer term. This could also be a good interim option if you’re looking to get back to the workforce after parental leave. The position may also have the opportunity to become permanent at the end of the fixed term period.

Applicants must be NZ qualified lawyers with NZ practising experience.
