Our client is one of the leading global private equity fund-of-funds managers with a multi billion dollar and international portfolio of assets. They are seeking to appoint a Managing Director for the Asia region to be based in either Singapore, Hong Kong or China. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior private equity fund of funds professional to join and lead an established platform in their Asia operations where you will play the key role on the investment process as well as capital raising across the region.

The new MD will;

  • Lead on growing the group’s investment platform across the Asia region by developing and implementing the investment strategy as well as investing in to the Private Equity Fund of Fund market.
  • Source, develop, negotiate and close new investment opportunities as well as manage existing portfolios.
  • Develop investment thesis as well as design and implement the investment strategy.
  • Raise capital from institutional investors across the region with an emphasis on China.

You are required to have:

  • 10-15 years experience in sourcing, structuring and closing private equity FoF in Asia.
  • Proven track record in raising capital in China.
  • Solid understanding of Asia private equity fund of fund market dynamics.
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin due to investing and capital raising activities in China which will be conducted in Mandarin.
