Our client is a global investment institution with an international brand name.  With a world class Private Equity team, they have developed an impressive and global portfolio of assets.

As the business continues to rapidly invest, there is a need to bring on a consultancy professional to a niche team within the Private Equity Division who are responsible for providing independent advice to the Investment Committee on deals being brought to them by the investment team.  Aside from this they also lead on developing an implementing the strategy for the global private equity function.  This is a highly interesting opportunity with a mix of investment and strategy development responsibilities.

The successful candidate will;

  • Play a key role in providing independent advice to the Investment Committee (IC) as well as shaping the group’s global private equity strategy.
  • Analyse and evaluate all investments being presented to the IC, providing recommendations on whether they should proceed with the investment or if the fund should commit more capital.
  • Regularly conduct market analysis on both a macro and micro level to develop and recommend investment strategies for the global Private Equity Division to the senior management.
  • Regularly interact and liaise with all levels of management both in and outside of the group.
  • Have the opportunity to work on numerous investments across a variety of sectors and markets whilst also be involved in shaping the strategy of the group.

Interested candidates must:

  • Be currently sitting in an Associate or Junior VP position (or equivalent) within a leading consultancy group responsible for providing M&A and strategic advisory services.
  • Have ideally started their in the M&A team of an investment bank.
  • Posses a very strong technical skill set with ability to build financial models from scratch, lead on due diligence processes and conduct macro and micro analysis.
  • Be confident in interacting and liaising with all levels of management and demonstrate very strong communication skills.
