Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Surrey and the South East
Remuneration: 35,000 – 45,000 per annum with excellent benefits package including attractive bonus package, company car or cash allowance, pension, private medical and holiday
As a result of ongoing growth our client is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to work very closely with a Regional Commercial Manager.
You will be responsible for assisting in the profitable administration of a portfolio of project with a cumulative annual value of approximately £15m. You will be working with a variety of public and private sector clients under various forms of contract, primarily NEC3 and NEC4.
This role will very much help sharpen up and develop your hard quantity surveying skills with you working across both pre-contract and post contract phases. You will be given responsibility for managing your own projects in their entirety including all client interface and negotiation. They are also in the process of consolidating and refining their commercial processes and you will have every opportunity to input into this business improvement exercise.
The Commercial Manager is a high energy and dynamic individual who will be fully committed to investing their time in your development. You will not be micro managed, and you will be given the freedom to manage your own diary and you can work from home. If the work is being done, then you will have the total trust of the business.
The team is highly ambitious and will be focused on growing the business. The incentivisation scheme is very attractive and acts as a great motivator.
Our Client is soon to have a fully accredited ICES training scheme in place and they will fund and support your further learning through this mechanism.

What do you need to be successful in this role?-A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent)-Experience in managing cost and value in line with a contract (ideally NEC form), anticipated to be a minimum of 2 years of experience-A hunger to learn and develop professionally (don’t worry – this will be recognised by the business and you will be rewarded!)
-A can do attitude with the ability to hold your own in front of Client commercial team
