Sales Manager
Based Manchester
I am recruiting for a full-service property investment company that helps high-net-worth investors add the strength of global real estate to their portfolios. A unique end-to-end approach is at the heart of what they offer, delivered by an experienced team of international real estate and investment professionals who are experts in untangling the complexities and complications of property investment. The end goal is for investors and international landlords to be able to purchase, manage and capitalise on global property opportunities just as easily as they would any other recognised investment asset.
Headquarters in Hong Kong and now present in Singapore, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Cape Town, Johannesburg, London and Manchester.
The Role
To set and manage the strategic and operational direction for Manchester, covering the North of England. You will achieve this through innovative thinking, building a world-class team, increasing customer loyalty and market share whilst achieving financial targets in line with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Work with Regional Sales Director to develop and execute a sales plan for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
- Recruiting, developing and training new sales professionals
- Securing new business opportunities through various internal and external channels (distribution, wholesale and direct deals)
- Develop exhibition sales and marketing strategies with internal sales team and external channels
- Initiating and coordinating action plans to penetrate new and existing markets (eg.client profile, sales channels, geography etc)
- Closely managing distribution relationships with the region including Distributor performance as well as the suitability of internal Account Managers to each business
- Managing budget and P&L responsibilities with forward-looking vision to drive revenue growth whilst monitoring Cost of Sale (COS) at all times
- Conducting one-on-one reviews with all Consultants to build more effective communication, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Consultants sales and activity performance
- Providing timely feedback in accurate records to Senior Management regarding team performance
- Scrutinising local operational procedures and processes and implementing efficiencies
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensuring they are communicated and implemented within the team
Requirements
- Proven track record in a sales driven environment, including experience of working in a leadership role
- Background in financial services or real estate, preferably with international exposure
- Proven leader in a sales environment with the ability to develop, train, coach and mentor a growing regional team of sales professionals from junior through to director level
- Passion for property
- Enthusiastic, positive outlook and excellent communication skills
- Solid business and analytical acumen with strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Collaborative working style

- Based in Manchester with occasional travel to London
