Cobalt are recruiting on behalf of a leading real estate service provider, currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Not only will this role provide exposure to some of the biggest names within real estate and private equity, you will also assist with the continued growth within London, taking a key role in on-boarding new business.

Tasked with developing the skills of junior staff, you will work closely with funds, large UK listed businesses and family offices on the following duties:

  • Prepare financial statements/management accounts for a wide range of client structures and differing complexity to UK GAAP or IFRS standards
  • Liaise with auditors in respect of the financial audit of client entities as required
  • Ensure that financial statements prepared are completed and signed off within client, statutory or regulatory deadlines
  • Prepare UK corporation tax returns, non-resident landlord returns and partnership tax returns
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of client specific accounting procedures
  • Coach more junior members of staff in relation to day to day activities
  • Compile a full file of working papers for all accounts prepared
  • Liaise with clients & intermediaries in respect of monthly & quarterly management accounts as required

Experience required:

  • ACA/ACCA/CA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience producing financial statements to UK GAAP/ IFRS
  • Knowledge of monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • UK VAT return experience
  • Real estate/ private equity/ investment management experience is advantageous
