Senior Manager, Accounting Specialist – Based in Luxembourg
Cobalt are recruiting on behalf of one of Europe’s leading service providers, now seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting Specialist to join the Luxembourg team. Paired with the company directors, the purpose for this role would be to manage, supervise and develop a team of experienced individuals to help grow the Luxembourg office, as well as maintain and develop relationships with clients and intermediaries.
Not only will you assist with the administration & financial management, you will be heavily involved in the on-boarding of new clients, provide diversity to the existing client base and improve the fund structures that are already in place.
Further duties involved in this role include:
- Ensuring fund assets are safe-guarded
- Monitoring and reconciling fund cash flows and general oversight of fund ensuring performance aligns with documentation
- Provide independent technical and strategic guidance in the capacity of Associate Director and as Director of client entities
- Demonstrate knowledge of the external business environment and relevant industry specific trends in order to provide sound and practical advice to clients
- Generate and innovative ideas that challenge the status quo but are strategically sound, and encourage others to demonstrate innovation
- Continually strives to create and build a strong market profile and promote the Group’s services by attending networking events, writing articles and participating in other business development initiatives
- Demonstrate savvy and business acumen in relation to financial management, providing realistic and considered fee quotes and invoices for client work in a timely manner
- Responsible for participating in appropriate projects and initiatives
- Co-ordinating and preparation of fund reports including valuation statements and communicate key information to investors and clients
Key requirements include:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Real Estate funds experience and an understanding of the risk profiles of real estate assets and development projects
- Experience of working within fund administration is advantageous
- Ability to assimilate information and project manage
- Understanding of on-boarding new clients
- Good understanding of typical fund structures and regulatory considerations
