Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Salary: 30,000 – 45,000 per annum (DOE) plus benefits including very healthy commission (OTE c55,000)
Location: South – With Travel

A highly successful, global specialist contracting business is currently building their UK business. This organisation specialises in offering innovative solutions in the ground engineering sector. They are privately owned, revenues are approx. £50m per annum and they are investing heavily in this UK start up

To support their targeted growth, they are seeking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer.

The role

As a Sales Engineer, you will initially be responsible for converting inbound enquiries into successful contracts. You will be focusing on Business to Consumer Sales in the short to medium term and Business to Business sales in the medium to long term.

You will be directly supported by a strong UK senior management team both who have at least 5 years service with the business in other countries of operation.

You will receive full training from one of the company’s top Sales people and will shadow them for your first 2 – 3 months in the business. There is a significant amount of inbound enquires – this is not a cold or hard sales role.

The position will evolve and grow as the business does, with Sales Manager or perhaps Regional Operations Manager achievable within 12 – 18 months. This truly is a career opportunity, not just a job.

Responsibilities

You will be converting inbound enquiries to successful projects by: -Pre-qualification calls -Strategically organising site visits -Understanding customer’s problems -Proposing solutions from the company’s group of products -Creating a quote, liaising with head office

-Track the job through to completion

To be successful in this role, it is envisaged that you: -Ideally hold further education (HNC / HND / Degree / equivalent) in Engineering or Geology or similar -Have demonstrable technical sales experience gained in the Construction sector -Are a quick learner -Are target driven -Sell without selling and demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence -Hold a full UK Driving Licence

-Are prepared to travel and are happy with regular nights away from home
