Our client, a leading shipping business here in the Middle East, is looking for a commercial finance manager to join their dynamic team here in Dubai. Reporting to the Finance Director the successful candidate will play a key role in the business development and reporting function of the business. 

Job Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Monthly performance review cycle
  • Building strong client relationships.
  • Client relationship management with both new and existing clients.
  • Monthly financial and operation performance review to senior management with responsibility for clear understanding on the P&L, balance sheet and cash movements.
  • Timely and accurate balance sheet reviews.
  • Accurate budgeting and forecasting of the cash flow, P&L and balance sheet
  • Management of risks and opportunities.
  • Participate in senior level contract negotiation on behalf of the contract to ensure that all arrangements with the customer and suppliers offer value for money.
  • Ensuring that there is full financial support for commercial decisions.
  • Commercial analysis to drive cost efficiencies and revenue generation.
  • Compliance with financial and commercial policies, procedures and processes, which are aligned to standards, set by the Group and managing through Audit.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • BA Honors degree in a related field
  • Shipping experience is desirable but not essential
  • Commercial finance experience is a key element of this role
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience

A leading Logistics business is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the Financial and management reporting , capex , working capital budgeting
  • Approval of balance sheet reconciliation

  • Manage inventory landed cost and customers sales pricing process
  • Monitor cash balances and forecasts
  • Manage internal cash transfer processes
  • Managing activities related to Capital Authorization Requests
  • Ensure an efficient team of accounts payable/receivable is operating.
  • Ensure receipts and payments are made within agreed terms
  • Ensure internal control processes such as Purchase Orders are being followed
  • Maintain direct debit facility for accounts receivable and strive to convert all customer outlets to the system
  • Develops team towards accomplishing work objectives and overall department goals,
  • Participate in recruitment activities as and when necessary – employee selection, career development, succession planning.
  • Performance management of staff as required
  • Active participation in annual Performance Review processes
  • Responsible for ensuring the work related health, safety and wellbeing of all direct reports and for contributing to the overall safety focus of the business.

 The Ideal candidate will have the following:

Education – ACA/ACCA/MBA finance ( reputed university ) with at least 4 years in Big Four firm

Experience – At least 4 – 5 years in supervisory role where he/she is managing team focsuing on financail planning analysis and also has financial accounting background especially worked on process improvement

Soft skills – excellent / advance stage excel skills , good verbal/ written communication , should be able to cope strong deadline finance environment

My client a main contractor is looking for a Design Manager to join its team ASAP. The role is open due to an increase in work load.

First project based in Oxfordshire. Typical projects they are looking for somebody to work on are based in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and surrounding counties.

My client works on a variety of Construction projects.

The role is a permanent position.

Duties:

  • Providing technical and administrative support to the Design Team.
  • Filing and document control.
  • Liaising with external consultants and clients.
  • Copying and distributing project documentation.
  • General administrative duties as required.
  • Undertake CAD related tasks including drawing amendments.
  • Produce delivery programmes if required.

Requirements:

  • Proficient IT user, specifically MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Methodical and numerate.
  • Able to work from initiative.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience of AutoCAD software.
  • Desirable: Construction/Architecture/Design Graduate.

Das Aufgabengebiet

  • Eigenständige Entwicklung von individuellen und hochwertigen Designkonzepten für die Innenbereiche der nationalen und internationalen Shoppingcenter unter Berücksichtigung funktionaler und visueller Aspekte
  • Verantwortung für die Design- und Konzeptionsphasen innerhalb des Gestaltungsprozesses moderner Innenarchitektur in Kombination mit der notwendigen Funktionalität
  • Berücksichtigung der Machbarkeit im Rahmen der Planung sowie Kompromissfindung zwischen Design und Funktion
  • Konzeptionierung unter Berücksichtigung von Design to Cost und jeweils relevanter rechtlicher Vorschriften
  • Zusammenarbeit im und Anleitung von internationalen und interdisziplinär aufgestellten Teams bestehend aus Architekten, Innenarchitekten, Zeichnern, Grafikern und Beratern
  • Steuern der involvierten Partner im Rahmen des Design Managements
  • Ansprechpartner für externe und interne Projektmitarbeiter in internationaler Zusammenarbeit
  • Parallele Projektbearbeitung in leitender Funktion (fachlich)

Das Anforderungsprofil

  • Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium der Innenarchitektur, Architektur oder eine vergleichbare fundierte Qualifikation im relevanten Bereich Design und Architektur
  • Alternativ kreative bzw. technische Ausbildung, ergänzt mit entsprechenden Weiterbildungen in den Gebieten der Design- und Funktionsplanung
  • Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Bereich Design und Konzeption von Shoppingcentern und/oder im Einzelhandel
  • Umfassende Kenntnisse der Branche und aktueller Trends hinsichtlich Materialauswahl, Einrichtung und Designkonzeption
  • Kompetenz im Entwurf und in der Planung von Innenausbauten und -einrichtungen
  • Idealerweise Erfahrungen in der Integration von Food Courts in Shoppingcentern und/oder Einkaufsmeilen
  • Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Statik, Brandschutz, Beleuchtung, Verkehrswegetechnik, etc.
  • Organisationstalent, Präsentationsfähigkeiten und sehr gute Kommunikation
  • Ausgeprägtes Maß an Kreativität und hoher Qualitätsanspruch
  • Hohe Motivation, Engagement und Eigeninitiative
  • Begeisterung für das Thema Shopping ist von Vorteil

We are working on behalf of a specialist residential developer. We are looking for a Senior Design Coordinator to work on a variety of large residential projects in Hertfordshire and London. Reporting to the Head of Design, you will ensure our client carries out its contractual responsibilities for co-ordination of construction details, manage flow of design information and manage design input of specialist subcontractors.

General duties:

  • Manage flow of design information.
  • Manage design input of specialist subcontractors.
  • Control of information flow.
  • Produce weekly design reports.
  • Monitor release of design information against agreed programme.
  • Management of design process during construction process and planning as applicable.
  • Manage design interface between packages.
  • Organise, chair and record the various meetings during the process.
  • Procure design information in a timely manner to the required quality and maintain drawing registers.
  • Provide technical advice and information as necessary, including that required during the tendering or bidding process.
  • Review design and specifications for alternatives to provide added value.

The Position: We are searching for an experienced Estimator that is currently or at the point of moving into a Lead Estimating positon. The positon is that of significance within the Auckland business, you will make up part of the Senior Management team working closely with the Auckland Director on the strategic growth of the business whilst being hands on pricing negotiated works and tendering in the open market. Essentially you must have a strong track record of successful pricing and tendering works in a New Zealand Main Contractor environment. Secondary it would be advantageous to have an Auckland network that you could leverage on to open new tender lists and move towards negotiated work though not essential.
