General Practice Surveyor: Public Sector Advisory

This an exciting opportunity for a motivated and commercially-minded Surveyor to join a leading, bespoke national public sector advisory team. The role will provide access to a variety of strategic property projects across multi-sectors and geographies. You will interact with client representatives, the wider UK Public Sector Advisory team and a range of in-house service lines. Innovation and service line specialism development is actively encouraged and clear routes for career progression based on merit are available.

As the Surveyor you will be working on large scale projects supporting the wider team, as well as managing your own instructions with the support of the Partners.

You will be instrumental with providing advice to clients, such as occupier, owner, holder or user of assets and typically involves undertaking feasibility studies / appraisals, developing value for money strategies and appropriate solutions ranging from real estate changes through to joint venture arrangements and outsourcing models. Some of the clients you will have the opportunity to work alongside will be Central and Local Government, Education, Health and Emergency Services bodies.

It is anticipated that the appointed Surveyor will be degree qualified and possess a professional body membership with MRICS preferred.

Key experience to include:

  • General practice background for either a corporate, public sector or private practice
  • Experience of working in a large practice and/or corporate environment could be advantageous
  • Rounded experience of general surveying skills – not restricted to a narrow practice area
  • Comfortable with identifying data requirements and collating appropriate detail into useable formats and reporting outputs
  • Able to undertake relevant analysis and to provide clear, concise and appropriate outputs to underpin advice to clients
  • Knowledge of Public Sector reporting and governance requirements an advantage
