Position: Quantity Surveyor – Subcontractor – Earthworks
Rate: £375- £400 per day (ltd)
Duration: 6 months
Location: East Midlands

We are seeking expressions of interest from Quantity Surveyors with strong experience with subcontractors within the civil engineering sector.

A quality subcontractor has recently been awarded the earthworks package on a major highways project in the south Midlands area, working to a Tier 1 JV client. They are a multidisciplinary contractor who have a strong track record within earthworks on major projects, with multiple live projects across the Midlands, with this contract representing a major win for them.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:-Execute and administer the contract from start to finish, completing your own admin and notices-On occasion travel to head office (approx. 1 hour from site) for progress meetings.

-Recording and assisting with management of change and variation

To be successful in this role, it is anticipated that you: -Be well versed on the NEC form of contract and working for Tier 1 main contractors on significant project-Have significant experience within an earthworks subcontractor on a major greenfield development (ideally highways)-Be someone with demonstrable track record of cost control, forecasting, and reporting-Have extensive and demonstrable experience in earthworks and highways under NEC contracts

-Hold a minimum of an HNC qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
