This role is based in Battersea and would be a fixed term contract role until the end of July. Please see below for an overview of the role:

Main Duties:

  • To ensure that all routine reporting and processing are completed in an accurate manner to satisfy strict monthly deadlines.
  • To build up and update project financial models, carry out budgetary control and monitor project expenditure.
  • To ensure adequate funds are available for the operations of the project companies.
  • To provide information and analyses to management for decision making and reporting.
  • Processing purchase orders & invoices, including monitoring authorisation process, operating project accounting and Oracle systems.
  • Preparing Development Cost Control Reports, monitor spending & highlight budget violations.
  • Checking payment requests to head office in HK.
  • Handling queries from head office, other departments and external suppliers.
  • Preparing cashbooks and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitoring tenant rental arrears.
  • Monitoring the sales system.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and related schedules within deadlines.
  • Updating business models and project books, reconciling balances.
  • Monitoring the cash position of the Company & preparing funding/loan drawdown request.
  • Preparing monthly VAT returns.
  • Checking CIS return for project companies.
  • Updating business forecasts.
  • Preparing quarterly reports and schedules within deadlines.
  • Updating and modifying business model.
  • Preparing annual budgets for project.
  • Preparing statutory accounts for project companies.
  • Organising statutory audit, liaising with auditors and answering audit queries.
  • Preparing tax computations and completing tax returns for project companies.
  • Tax planning.
  • Systems and methodology designing and enhancing.

Essential skills, attributes & qualifications

  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • 1 year’s post qualified experience in the UK
  • Financial modelling
  • Analytical, logical thinking and detail orientated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Team player and openly encourages the sharing of information
  • Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines and independently
  • Builds strong stakeholder relationships and accepts accountability
