Our client is a high-profile, NZX-listed corporate; predominant in the markets they operate in.

An opportunity is available, with the hiring process likely to commence in the new year, for an experienced Group Accountant to join an established and high-performing financial reporting team.

This role will have a technical accounting focus and will act as a key IFRS adviser to the finance team as well as the wider operational and corporate finance aspects of the business. Key duties will include the preparation and review of management and board reports on accounting issues; the preparation of annual and interim financial statements; as well as the management of external auditors in respect of statutory financial statements audit and half year interim review.

To be considered for this role, you are likely to be a Chartered Accountant with a strong affinity for technical accounting standards allied with a commercial outlook. You will be adept at building effective networks encompassing key stakeholders and will have your finger on the pulse of changes to IFRS.

This would represent a great first move out of practice, utilising your experience of working with blue chip clients to move into a corporate environment. Alternately you may already be working in a similar capacity and be looking to develop yourself in a new environment towards your long-term career goals.
