Our Client is a leading student accommodation developer / operator that provide world-class accommodation in the major education and real estate markets, currently focused on UK and European projects and expanding rapidly.

Because of this our Client is now looking for an experienced real estate professional to become responsible for managing the UK portfolio valued in the region of €200m and growing. The portfolio comprises a mixture of operational and development assets. This position is required to meet the short, medium and long term objectives of the investment management team and expected growth in the EMEA business. This person is expected to report to the Investment Director with a dotted line to the Head of Investment Management, EMEA.

Much of the work is self-appointed, and requires a medium to high degree of day to day autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • To update the annual business plan for the UK portfolio
  • Underwrite new acquisitions, disposals and re-financing of the portfolios.
  • To develop & implement the business plan working with partners
  • To implement the strategy with strong performance and high client satisfaction, building a strong relationship with all capital stakeholders.
  • Ensure all fund reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in surveying, economics, accounting or business
  • Experience of fund management in real estate
  • Excellent written and spoken English – any other language spoken in Europe will be an advantage.

Desirable

  • Student or hospitality industry experience
  • Chartered surveyor
  • Knowledge of operations
  • Financial experience and/or qualification
