MRTPI Town Planner; Manchester city centre; £28,000 – £38,000 plus benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Town Planner to join a leading planning consultancy based in their Manchester office.

The town planner will join an established team of planning professionals with a particular specialism in strategic planning dealing with complex residential, mixed use, retail and leisure development proposals regionally. You will become a key member of the Manchester office, liaising with clients across all sectors, providing advice and assisting with new business development.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of planning appraisals, statements and evidence documents
  • Analysis of planning policy and assessment of client proposals.
  • Coordinate and manage major applications

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic town planner and a member of either the RPTI or RICS. A commercially astute planner, you must be able to work to tight timescales often under challenging circumstances with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical abilities are a must as the successful planner will be liaising frequently with a variety of different clients as well as advising and directing project design teams and other professionals.
