Town Planner / Senior Planner
Birmingham
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planner to join the UK’s leading property consultancies. The Planner/Senior Planner will become an integral member of their growing Birmingham office based in the city centre.
The Town Planner/Senior Planner will join an office of over 10 Planners undertaking a wide array of projects including high-end residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. You will become an integral member of a growing team liaising with clients that include house builder, major retailers and blue-chip companies whilst leading/contributing to some of the most exciting projects across the region.
Typical responsibilities include leading/contributing on the planning submissions for small and medium-scale projects, representing clients through appeals and undertaking day-to-day project management. As a Senior Planner you will also be responsible for assisting in the mentoring of junior team members and maintain strong client relationships.
The ideal Town Planner/Senior Planner will be a chartered member of the RTPI, or working towards APC submission, with extensive development control experience coming from either private or public sector. Strong communication skills are required as you will be liaising with clients, colleagues and local authorities whilst it is also imperative that the Senior Planner is commercially aware and motivated to engage in networking.
