Our client, a leading international investment platform, is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to sit in their European Asset Management team. The successful candidate will work in support of a variety of functions within the team, including analysing asset management opportunities and their impact, and JV relationship management. The Analyst will primarily report to the VP of Asset Management.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Wide range of financial analyses and portfolio/fund modelling
  • Building, operating, maintaining and reviewing a wide variety of financial models, primarily in Excel
  • Forecasting for existing assets under management
  • Taking delegated responsibility for a variety of investment management functions
  • Reporting and communications with external investors and internal stakeholders
  • Performance analysis and reporting
  • General support of senior team members in decision-making

Candidate Attributes

  • Highly numerate with a strong skillset in representing the concepts of real estate investment accurately and efficiently in Excel form
  • Experience in real estate investment/real estate finance/private equity
  • Good understanding of the conceptual framework of real estate investment
  • University degree from high-calibre institution, preferably in a subject area demanding high analytical aptitude. Undergraduate or subsequent study emphasis on real estate/private equity/investment and/or finance/economics is not required, but would be beneficial.
  • Sophisticated understanding of the MS Office suite, most particularly Excel, but also PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills with confident fluency in written and spoken English. Fluency in Spanish or German would be beneficial.

Salary will be at market and depend on the specific experience and skill set of candidate.
