Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager – Client side Retail – £90,000
Cobalt are currently working closely with a leading restaurant chain who have offices globally. The client are looking to hire a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor for their London office. This role offers excellent autonomy, strong career progression and travel opportunities to their restaurant stores across Europe.
Remuneration: £65,000 – £90,000 + excellent benefits package + Bonus up to 20%
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to develop their career in a client side position for a funky and dynamic restaurant chain that are expanding their real-estate portfolio and where you can have a lasting, prosperous career. The Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor will take a lead role overseeing the financial aspects of their projects focusing on the early stage procurement, through project delivery and future CAPEX management in conjunction with the businesses existing procurement and construction teams. The appointed Quantity Surveyor will ideally have retail experience, and have managed refurbishment, fit-out and CAPEX budgets upto £2 million.
My client are expanding rapidly, and although they already have a strong global presence, the environment is generally very vibrant, entrepreneurial, and dynamic. The fit outs are mainly spread across the UK, but your focus will include locations such as Paris and Dusseldorf with a probably capacity of 40 / 45 stores per year, for the next 4 years.
This is an excellent and rare opportunity to make a client side move. There is no doubt that this role has the potential to transform the appointed Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor career in addition to having an excellent remuneration and benefits package.
Requirements:
- Construction related degree
- MRICS Chartered (preferred)
- Experience within the retail sector (preferred)
- Pre and post contract experience
- 3 – 5 years experience within cost management
