Senior Bridge Engineer
Renown around the world for their complex and challenging projects, our client is a New Zealand owned and operated consultancy with multiple offices across the globe. Notorious in New Zealand for winning high profile projects and high delivery standards, they are now looking for a Senior Bridge/Civil Structures Engineer to join their award-winning team. With a strong history of projects in the bridging sector and a bursting project pipeline ($100k – $3b), the opportunities for personal and professional development are endless.
This role will see you taking full ownership of your projects in a 360-degree capacity from visiting various industrial sites and performing initial investigations to writing tender reports and detailed design of civil structures across the industrial, infrastructure and transport sectors. Working in a close-knit team of approx. 20 engineers and drafters who work in a collaborative style, you will gain exposure to a variety of other projects in differing disciplines.
Ideally you will have:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree
- 6+ years post graduate experience
- Solid understanding of seismic principles and standards
- NZ commercial project experience
- CPEng qualified (or close to)
To succeed in this role, you will bring your extensive networks and technical knowledge to the fore and act in a technical capacity. Acting at times in a project lead capacity, you will be tasked with using your creativity to find innovative solutions to problems encountered. As part of a collaborative team, you will have brilliant communication skills (written & verbal) and a strong desire to further grow both you and your team’s technical skills.
