Our client, a specialist construction, property and infrastructure business, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join their team in Manchester. The firm specialises in construction, development and investment and has operations across Europe, Australia, Asia and the Americas.

Joining the team in Manchester, the successful candidate will act as a business partner and will be the financial lead for the Business Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of financial reporting in accordance with statutory and internal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice to the Executive Manager of the Business Unit and act as a trusted partner.
  • Ownership and presentation of monthly management report to the Managing Director and Finance Director
  • Accountable for the preparation of all monthly management reports and analysis including planning, budgeting, forecasting and Business Unit reporting
  • Provide reconciliation and accurate variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
  • Review transactions, profit and turnover, cash balances and other financial results to ensure compliance with internal policies / procedures and accounting standards
  • Provide strategic, financial and commercial advice to the projects as and when required

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with extensive experience
  • Recent and relevant people management experience
  • Experience in construction or related industry
