Hedge Fund Accountant

Our client is a global fund administration company assisting hedge funds and private equity funds with the daily administration, operations and accounting functions. They have an immediate opening for a Hedge Fund Accountant to be based in Singapore.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing month-end close processes
  • Accurate calculation of fund NAV’s
  • Production of investor allocations and calculation of management/ incentive fees.
  • Posting accounting entries to ledger
  • Supporting all aspects of ad-hoc reporting
  • Analyzing fund performance on a daily / monthly basis, as needed
  • Working with various products including bonds, swaps, CDOs, ABS, equities, options, FX, repos, and futures
  • Coordinating work production with a global team which is responsible for reconciling cash/securities to outside sources, pricing the fund portfolios, and calculating profit and loss on a daily basis.
  • Working with auditors to prepare and present year-end financial accounts

Skills and Knowledge Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience as a hedge fund accountant or auditor of hedge funds
  • Strong knowledge in hedge funds instruments
  • Strong experience in reconciliations and relevant corporate actions
  • Exceptional organizational and written/verbal communication skills
  • Financial statement preparation / review experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Geneva preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
