Position: Senior Risk Manager
Location: West Midlands
Remuneration: up to 70,000 per annum with benefits such as pension, 25 days’ holiday and additional flexible benefits

A major infrastructure Developer is seeking to appoint a Senior Risk Manager to their PMO team. You will be working on a multi billion programme of civil engineering scope.

This role will find you responsible for leading in the identification, analysis, management, and control of risk within a programme of challenging and complex construction work with a value of circa £3.5bn. You will look to actively reduce risk exposure and uncertainty and ensure the successful achievement of project objectives.

To be successful in this role it is required that you be experience in managing programme or project level risk, have a good understanding of cost and schedule, are a strong communicator who can facilitate workshops and be experienced in Monte Carlo simulation using PRA or @risk.

Joining an established and growing team, this role will find you initially working alone with the longer-term strategy being that you have one direct report by the end of Q1 2019.

Responsibilities include:-Lead risk (threats and opportunity) and value management activities to actively control risk and seek efficiency.-Lead on risk assessment activities, whilst working in collaboration with delivery, project controls, commercial and financial teams.-Manage, maintain and take ownership of the group of area risk registers and the forward programme of risk management and mitigation activities, ensuring input from accountable managers and internal and external stakeholders.-Work closely and promote proactive collaboration with other risk professionals-Lead the formulation, agree and communicate risk management standards and guidance.-Promote the joint evaluation of risks with delivery teams, contractors and suppliers to establish a basis for integrated risk management.-Lead, guide, support and mentor other risk specialists-Undertake compliance/assurance checks of risk processes and products

-Manage the interfaces between risk management and other delivery processes including value management and engineering, construction design management (CDM) and contract management

To be considered for this role you will:-Hold a relevant Risk Management qualification or demonstrable equivalent relevant experience-Have substantial experience in a project risk management role within large-scale construction project-Be able to apply risk management concepts and procedures to large scale projects
