Service Charge Accountant
West End
£35k-£45k

A brilliant opportunity has become available for a hardworking and dedicated Service Charge Accountant. Our client is a leading Property Surveying practice based in the West End. You will have the chance to manage a large commercial portfolio, as well as work among an ambitious team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of Service Charge accounting.
  • Preparing and reconciling the service charge accounts.
  • Billing of Balance service charge/credits and insurance charges to tenants.
  • Billing/Recovery of void/vacant unit service charge liabilities from the client.
  • Dealing with cash reconciliations.
  • Entering Service Charge Budgets onto the system.
  • Liaising with auditors and surveyors.
  • Accurate maintenance of records and input of information onto MRI.
  • Being familiar with RICS regulations and CIS and VAT requirements.

Key Skills:

  • Strong service charge accounting experience is essential.
  • Commercial property experience is essential.
  • Understanding the general VAT accounting laws and requirements.
  • Understanding the application of VAT in commercial property.
  • Qualified or part-qualified – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT but not essential.
  • Experience on Tramps, Qube, Yardi, Horizon or MRI is desired.
  • Strong Excel skills – ability to produce spreadsheets.
