Planner through to Associate Strategic Planner

Based Bristol

My client is nationally based Town Planning consultancy who operate across all the major cities throughout the UK. Following an exceptionally busy end to 2017, the Bristol office is looking to hire a Planner and Associate to their team.

The Associate appointment will require the appointed Planner to demonstrate an ability to give evidence at public inquiries, whilst supporting the office through proactive business development. The Planner will support the Associate and wider team, identifying future land acquisitions and devising planning strategies.

Key duties for both roles will include:

  • Providing planning consultancy advice to colleagues and clients
  • Reporting to clients and senior colleagues and keeping in regular contact
  • Attend and report to client at regular project meetings
  • Be capable of dealing with instructions and clients alone after an introductory period

At both levels, the appointed planners must be chartered (MRTPI) or in the case of the Planner appointment, a student member of RTPI, working towards accreditation with demonstrable experience of working in either the private or public sector.
