Cobalt is proud to partner with one of the Global Manufacturer of optical precision and scientific instruments. Due to business expanding in Singapore, they are looking to bring on board Commodity Manager (Mechanical)
In this role,
- You will drive sourcing activities through Commodity Management and New Product Introduction to meet overall company objectives
- Develop NPI Sourcing Strategy for Mechanical commodities
- Manage Mechanical Commodity (Machining, Casting, Sheet Metal, Plastics)
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned commodities to drive toward KPI set forth
- Lead key process improvements to improve efficiency in Sourcing
To be successful in this role,
- You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant working experience in Medical Equipment Environment
- At least 15 years of prior experience in managing mechanical commodities with a key focus on CNC High precision machining, Casting, Sheet metal and Plastics
- Exposure in high-mix low-volume (HMLV) environment and lean manufacturing concepts
