Position: Data Analyst – cost assurance
Location: London
Remuneration: 26,000 – 45,000 DOE plus benefits such as 25 days holiday, private medical cover, defined contribution pension etc
A large Multinational Consultancy is seeking an individual who is passionate about data to join their Cost Verification and Assurance team.
This role would suit either a recent Graduate or an established Data Analyst looking for a fresh challenge. Whatever level you may be, you must hold excellent data interpretation and analysis skills and have an underlying interest in the Infrastructure and Civil Engineering sectors. This would include Rail, Aviation, Water, Highways and Energy.
The role will give you the opportunity to develop your career in cost auditing and analysis where you will support across the delivery phase of client commissions. The Capability Leader will be fully committed to your development and the business in general has excellent training and development programmes in place.
Your responsibilities will include:-Processing and analysing data collected by the cost assurance team-Interrogating large data sets-Processing and reporting data-Analysing data and reporting and identifying trends across projects-Evaluating the accuracy of your findings-Translating your findings to non-technical colleagues and clients in a way they can understand
-Advising on how best to visualise and present the data, both internally and externally
To be successful in this role it is anticipated that you:-Hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject matter (for example compute science, mathematics, statistics or economics)-Be comfortable working at a computer for long periods at a time-Be experienced with using data analysis and reporting tools.-Have a high attention to detail to be able to identify and investigate anomalies in data sets
-Have good communication skills, as the role involves liaising with both clients and contractors
