Position: Foreman
Location: London
Remuneration: 38,000 – 45,000 plus benefits including Company Van, 25 days’ holiday, shift uplift and pension

A privately-owned SME is seeking to attract a Foreman to support ongoing marine projects in the Greater London area.

This role would suit either an individual who is looking to step up into a Foreman role or an established Foreman who is motivated in working for a company where you are recognised as an individual, meaning that your contribution is recognised by all levels of the business.

Operating as a true sector specialist, you will be working on a variety of marine and river orientated projects incorporating embankment and onshore works as well as dredging. Their Clients include Private Developers, Main Contractors and the Environment Agency. Projects would typically sit in the £100k – £3m bracket.

As a Foremen, your main responsibility will be to manage the day to say operations of the site whilst leading and directing a team of operatives. You will focus on controlling health & safety, quality and production.

Responsibilities will include:-Organise, motivate and supervise all site operatives-Ensure effective deployment of personnel, plant, and equipment to achieve productivity-Promote and implement safety arrangements and methods of working to ensure compliance-Carry out health & safety inductions, site briefings, daily inspections and record any changes in the site diary-Mark up programmes and drawings with progress on a weekly basis.-Keep daily site records up to date-Liaise with Clients/visitors to site in a professional manner.

-Liaise closely with the Site Manager regards any problems

To be successful in this role it is anticipated that you:-Have marine sector experience, either in piling or dredging works-Have demonstrable people management skills-Hold suitable site qualifications such as CSCS Card, SSSTS or SMSTS, First Aid etc

-Be willing to work shifts in line with any required tidal working
