Our client is the property investment arm of a large investment management company. They are currently looking for a Portfolio Building Surveyor to advise the real estate team on building and construction matters. The role is varied and will give the individual the chance to develop and broaden their knowledge.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice relating to development, planning design and procurement issues.
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety conditions are in accordance with the relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Ensuring framework documents are used correctly and terms of the framework agreement are met. Reviewing and updating documents where necessary.
  • Development monitoring of projects developed by others.
  • Providing due diligence in support of purchase and sales activity.
  • Assisting in the appointment and management of external Building Surveying consultants.
  • Providing advice on professional services including party walls, right to light and environmental matters.

Relevant Experience:

  • Working with construction contracts.
  • Undertaking client representation.
  • Managing technical due diligence.
  • Appointing and managing third party consultants.

Remuneration

£350 LTD per day

This is an excellent opportunity for a building surveyor to make a client side move and utilise their expertise in a more advisory capacity. There is a strong chance that the role will become permanent for the right candidate.
