Cobalt Recruitment is a leading specialist head hunting firm and provider to the Real Estate, Finance, Accounting & Banking, Construction & Engineering sectors. We recruit professionals from our 14 global offices for clients ranging from large corporate organisations to niche entrepreneurial entities. Due to planned expansion, we are looking for a trainee consultant to join our Town Planning team within our Manchester office.

Consultants at Cobalt have an impressive knowledge of their specialist sectors, often having been attracted to Cobalt directly from industry as well as from other recruitment and search consultancies. Within Town Planning, we recruit at all levels of seniority from Assistant Planners to Directors.

Clients include:

  • Niche planning consultancies
  • Surveying practices
  • Multi-disciplinary engineering firms
  • House builders
  • Developers

Key duties would include:

  • Candidate and client management
  • Business development
  • Full service recruitment function that includes generation of candidates, candidate qualification, interviewing, reference checking, advertising, process management and deal management
  • Post placement support

The initial months for the trainee would be focused on managing the candidate process sourcing candidates for existing roles and learning your market within the team. In addition to this “hands-on” training we have a dedicated in-house trainer who takes all new consultants through a 3 month induction programme and beyond.
